GSOMF Purpose:

The purpose of the Gulf States Osteopathic Medical Foundation, Inc. (GSOMF) is to serve as an educational developmental resource to the osteopathic medical profession in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.  To achieve this purpose, the foundation will:

• Recruit and assist potential students to apply to osteopathic medical schools.  
• Work to assist developing colleges of osteopathic medicine in the Gulf States region. 
•  Determine recipients of osteopathic scholarships and/or student loans.  
•  Develop post-graduate internship and residency opportunities for newly graduated physicians.  
•  Promote continuing medical education to past recipients of Foundation scholarships as well as other friends of the Foundation.
