The MOMA dues cycle runs from January 1 to December 31.

There are numerous benefits of membership in MOMA: 

  • We represent the individual osteopathic physician in all matters.

  • We are exclusively committed to promoting the practice of Mississippi osteopathic physicians and the profession's continued growth in the state.

  • We are a positive force in eliminating and counteracting discrimination through education and marketing. 

  • We work on your behalf for successful dispute resolution and reimbursement matters with health insurance carriers, hospitals, managed-care organizations,  Medicare, Medicaid, and the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission.

  • We provide you with access to discounted professional liability insurance.

  • We represent the osteopathic profession before legislative bodies and governmental agencies and monitor health care issues, rules, and regulations.

  • We assist osteopathic physicians in locating local practice opportunities. 

  • We assist osteopathic physicians in obtaining hospital staff privileges.

  • We provide Continuing Medical Education programs through our Annual Convention, our Winter Meeting, and Fall Meeting. These programs are discounted for MOMA members.

  • We provide public information and educational programs that help you to positively represent the osteopathic profession.

  • We bring you timely information about your developments and challenges to your profession plus articles of general interest via newsletter, web page, and the membership meetings.

  • MOMA is a vital state association working for you.  Its staff and elected officers, district and committee chairmen, and committee members work diligently on professional and public affairs for the osteopathic profession.
